For me it was the hardest part of the job but it does give more access to the pump .

The fan clutch should spin relatively freely when the engine is cold and become very stiff when it's hot. If you can spin it easily by hand when the engine is hot, it needs to be replaced.

When its cold from sitting overnight the clutch will be stiff from the gel pooling up. After a couple minutes of spinning by hand the gel will be distributed and the fan will spin freely. Then once the engine bay gets hot the gel will be released and the fan will spin stiff again.

Thats what I was thinking it spins freely hot or cold thanks
