I recently replaced the front brakes pads on my 96XJ with 68,000 miles. There was a slight clunk coming from the right front before the brake job. After the brake job it seems more defined. Kind of a clunk as I apply the brakes and another as I release them. But only if it is sitting still. I do not hear it while driving. Also a right hand turn in reverse seems to bring it on but I dont know if the two are related.
