98 Electrical issues

Hey folks. You helped me out with my tranny issue quickly. Maybe you can solve my electrical issue too.

My radio/gauges fuse under my dash keeps blowing. Also, when it's working, when I brake, my odometer dissappears.

It happened last time wheeling and today driving in the rain. I have cut the rear quarters out (too banged up to fold), so the brake wires are open to the elements.

I am going to put some sheet metal to cover the holes but any other ideas on where to check for ground issues.

Check the tail light wire harness plugs and grounding points behind the spare tire and plastic trim. Tailgate and driver door wire harness issues are also very common. Expose and visually inspect the wire near the door and tailgate hinges.
