Box for hydro assist

I have a spare box from a 91 MJ I parted out. I also have a warranty on the box that's currently in the XJ. Stock 99 box.

Which ratio box is preferred on a rig that sees street and rocks with the hydro assist? Would the earlier year model be ideal? YJ box? Late model XJ?

I'm going to be doing the tapping of the box myself

Is the MJ box a different ratio? When I talked with West Texas Offroad, they recommended tapping the stock box over a durango style box due to the internal volume of the box. Once you add a ram the box is basically along for the ride and not doing much work as the ram takes over. I'd tap the 99 box, that's what I did with my 95, then added their ram for assist on the WJ steering conversion.

IIRC 00-up was slower ratio.
