anyone know if i can use a stock crosspin in a dana 30 spartan locker? mine is broken and i need it going by tomorrow

You can....but if it isn't hardened, it won't last long.

usually that's why you get a cross pin in the locker...cuz the stock one wasn't hardened.

the stock one is case hardened, and every other locker ive had has used the stock one, so i think it will be ok for the weekend (famous last words)

Broke the Spartan cross pin in the first year on 34 LTBs now almost 5 years and 2 xjs later it has been flawless with a stock d30 pin. Has survived busted R&Ps and btoken Yukon shafts both on 36TSLs and the same 34 LTBs.

Same, broke the hardened. Stock has lasted longer :shrug:

I know some stock ones are hardened...wasn't sure if the d30 was or not.

On my 9 1/4 dodge, they sent a pin as not all the stock ones were hardened

good to know about the stockers lasting longer. thanks guys, makes me feel better about throwing it in.
