If you have one available I would test fit it. Rusty's and others list one skid for all years. If you late model doesn't have a hitch you would need nut strips.

I may just try it, I have the skid, I have the new XJ...I do have the nut strips (JCR bumper is in the mail)

I didn't cut mine that much. I V notch the end and used a BFH to beat it down to clear the tank
