LED Taillights

My homemade LED tail light housings turned 5 this month...

Niice!

I too bought the red roundels for side lights (only one per side though) but haven't installed them. I intentionally left the lights protruding in order to be ever so slightly more visible from the side. I have amber lights at the rear of each front fender to help in that department.

They would have been Plug and Play since I have a towing package (the flashers don't care about current) but I opted for a third brake light that flashes twice then goes solid for each application of the brake pedal using a module from the same LED supplier, and a flasher module for the brake lights when selected by remote switch.

The same supplier sells resistors and transistorized flasher units if you have a problem with fast flashing.

Thanks. Those look bright as hell. How are they holding up? I had some from super bright LEDs and they started losing LEDs like crazy after a couple years. Bought some cheap maxxima ones at the truck shop and they've lasted longer.

5 years and not a single dot has gone out and the flasher unit still works but the module I had for the third tail light (high center) that would flash twice then go solid with every brake pedal press expired after a couple of years so it's just wired with the rest of the brake lights.
