Brake problems

I just got down putting my front end back together after welding the front gears. And now the brakes feel completely different. Before when I hit the brakes a little,it would stop; now when I push them they go down about 2 inches them start to stop, but feel alittle spongey. Any ideas, They still work they just feel different now, and it's kinda buging me.

did you check to make sure the caliper mounting bracket is tight. Mine was loose the last time it was removed and the pedal did that same thing. Juice

Did you bleed them?
