how to determine what chain I need?HV-028 or HV-061?And generally it is possible to change them on each other?the same gear?

Unless your 242 is out of something besides a American Jeep, it will use the HV-028 chain.

I looked up the specs on both numbers and they are the same. The only thing I can think of is that each link of the chain is made by stacking a number of pieces together. While the width and pitch is the same, the thickness and number of the pieces stacked up may be different. Even if they were, it should not make any difference.

rocker joints are stronger than roller joints. Use the ECE chain its compatible with your stock chain but much stronger
