Some are spot welded in place weld nuts, some are threaded inserts, nut-certs, blind rivet nuts, etc. You can buy new nut-certs and install them yourself, or in many locations you can substitute normal nuts and bolts. Sometimes you can drill and tap weld nuts if you have industrial quality drills and taps. Hardware store drills and taps almost never work.
Any decent drill bit, USA or European made will get through a broken bolt. I use an old craftsman tap set from the 70s and cut new threads pretty much every time I work on the jeep lol
Thank you.
I will look for rivet nuts.
The ones I am refering to are inside a hollow channel and cannot get inside to weld, and there is nothing there to tap.
