Wizard Brackets

Hi everybody,

Few questions regarding the Black Magic Brakes wizard brackets:

Does it work?
Any cutting/welding required?
Anybody have a write-up on the installation and functionality?

I have an 8.8 installed in my XJ using the ECGS cables and, well, the handbrake more or less sucks. I tried adding a spacer to the adjuster to get more leverage, replaced all of the hardware and shoes with new and still have no luck holding my XJ in my driveway with 31's.
I'm looking for options for adding a functional parking brake without resorting to a line-lock.

Regards,

Cliff

I am not sure this will help but,...this have been discussed a few times around here.

A little brakes is better than no brakes.

They're a tight fit but they absolutely work. Still need to go back and readjust mine after doing the initial installation.

yes they work.

well enough that if you leave the ebrake on and drive off in 4low you will bend the backing plates rather than slip the brake.

here is a writeup.

Great info, thanks!!!
I'll need to take a look at how much clearance I have between the spring and the U-bolt eliminator kit I used.
