'91 oem t-stat same as '99 ?

I've got a 1991 OEM mopar thermostat leftover from a old car I no longer have in my fleet. I now have a '99 - both cherokee XJ 4x4 4.0l.

I see aftermarket part#s are same both years all being equal, but have seen OEM part# different.

I assume a 4.0 t-stat from the '91 is identical to the '99, anyone agree or disagree? I'd hate to but another and already have a good one laying around.
