I set up another XJ for towing. It is a 2000. I have had a 99 XJ set up for towing for 5 years. The 99 has been on 2" HD OME leaf springs. I could not get them again so I set the 2000 up with Rancho 44148 springs. The Ranchos have about 3/4" less lift than the OME's but sit at good height with the hitch loaded. Tha Ranchos are adequate for what I tow and they are not as harsh when not towing. The only downside to the Ranchos is the noisy poly bushings.
