Just broke my TruTrac

Driving home yesterday on the freeway I broke my Dana 30 Trutrac, now I have to rebuild the front axel so I'm looking for suggestions . Do I
replace the carrier with another TruTrac or something else?

Initial inspection shows I broke numerous teeth off the ring gear, l'll have to tear it down farther to see if the carrier got damaged. Fortunately, I have another gear set and install kit so that cost is covered.
 
Carrier is probably all right. If just gears got Fubar, and housings is intact probably good otherwise.

No oil in the diff?
 
in 2wd? are you sure you were not in 4wd?
 
Tore the diff apart, pinion bearing seized which chewed up the ring and the pinion. Fortunately, I had a spare gear set. l'm guessing it was lack of oil in the diff that caused the failure.
New gears are in and everything seems ok so far but I have only put about 30miles on the new gears.
