I took my XJ in for a pre-hunting week front end alignment only to find out I had serious issues up front.

all of my tie rod ends needed to be replaced (wasn't suprising as I could hear then clunk)
track bar needs to be replaced because the ends are toast (Held off on that because I'm going to buy an adjustable track bar)
the biggest thing:
My wheel bearing assembly on my passenger side was so badly gone that he grabbed the tire and wobbled it while on the lift, it had a good 1" of play

I'm disappointed in myself for not having caught that it had gone bad, and that I had to pay to get that work done but hey, Les Schwab did great work and got it done and back to be in 3 hours.

lesson learned, and now I'm not risking my ass when I get on the freeway.

check your bearings.
