i bought some ebay bushwacker style flares for the xj. they are made out of fiberglass. i disnt realize the jeep and the fenders would need to be trimmed to get a decent fit. i have never done any fiberglass work work before. has anyone here ever used these flares or have any advice. what should i use to cut and trim the fiberglass? i have plenty of metal experience just need a few pointers to not butcher the hell out of the flares and ruin them. i wanted to just take it somewhere and have it done but i cant bring myself to do it. i know it isnt rocket science but this type of work really takes its toll on my patience. thanks for any help

Did you purchase the ones from Poland? I considered this but, decided not to as the coverage they offer is more than I need for 32x15 tires with 3.5" of backspacing (-19 mm offset).

Fiberglass (formed...) can be cut with a hacksaw but, be careful. Fiberglass should be sealed with a product called gel coat/gelcoat. You may want to search for a local West Systems epoxy dealer as they are most likely to be willing to answer questions for you.

You can usually purchase their products at a local marina because, boat repair needs to be performed promptly.

Here is a link for a gel coat source.
