Drive shaft too long?

So I swapped out the stock D35 for a 8.25, at the same time I put in an IRO 5.5" lift kit. When I went to line everything up, there's very little play in the driveshaft. I know the 8.8 is longer than the 35, but with the lift, I assumed it would work out in my favor. Seems like the play is only about 1/4-1/2" tops.

Since I spent a whopping $150 on the Jeep, I wanted to wait to do the SYE later after seeing vibes, if any, as it won't see more than 4,000 miles a year.

I guess I'm asking about some options, or if anyone else had very little play in the DS and what they did?

see if you can find a driveshaft from a jeep with an 8.25 and the same transmission, it will be 1" shorter

Yeah, I think the biggest trouble will be finding that driveshaft. But the search is on!
