Engine Temperature

My 2000 Cherokee with a 4.0L runs in the middle of the temperature gauge at 210 degrees. What does your Jeep temperature gauge usually read? Where would I want to aim a non contact infrared temperature gauge at on the engine to verify the dash gauge?

210 is the normal operating temp so its right were you want it to be. To confirm the temp a good place to get a temp reading in the thermostat housing
