So I changed my oil seals today on my dana 30. when I put the brake calipers back on one of the screws wouldn't tighten I thought maybe I Cross threaded the screw but the screw looks fine. So I'm thinking it's the thread on the bracket. Has this happen to anyone if so how did you go about it.

Thanks in advance

What kinda vehicle ? If you have an XJ, 1990 to 2001 use the same steering knuckles and calipers. The calipers have no threads for mounting bolts, so you probably boogered up the threads in the knuckle. The simple solution is a Heli-Coil thread repair kit from the auto parts store.

I stripped one (well, actually my friend stripped it on my Jeep) and helicoiled it. M10x1.5 if memory serves. Fastenal has 'em. Easier than changing the knuckle.
