Sprintex Supercharger For 97 Cherokee

I am interested in pursuing the Sprintex kit for an XJ. Does anyone know if replacement parts like bearings/seals are available for the compressor? Also are pulleys available to run more than the 6 lb.s boost of the standard kit? I will be mounting it on a Russ Pollinger built forged stroker.

Thanks, Bob
97 XJ Country 84K original miles. 2 inch lift with Old Man EMU springs, Bilstein Shocks, Banks header and Cat Back. Ported, polished, milled, and flow tested head by Valley Head Service. Bored 62mm throttle body.

Try posting this in the Street and Performance forum where several run superchargers.

Smaller pulleys to increase the boost can be had. O-gauge has a smaller pulley installed one. He has a thread about it in the Street and Performance forum. I also recommend meth injection to help combat detonation in your stroker.

Do you have a source for the Sprintex unit? I don't think there are many of them floating around for sale.

I have decided to go with an Eaton M90. These are rebuild-able and parts are readily available. If the blower ever goes south replacements are available. Rick Rimmer is going to build me a kit for my XJ.

The Sprintex kit comes with a 7th injector. If you use upgraded injectors and an injection controller than can calibrate for that (such as an AEM FIC), it is pretty simple to use that 7th injector as a meth injection.

AFAIK, there is exactly one kit left available from Jon Bond Performance.

Sorry I missed this the first time. The compressor used in the Sprintex kit is one of their standard compressors so complete sets of replacement parts are available through any Sprintex dealer.

There is a 54mm pulley available to slightly increase the overall boost level but I believe it tops out at around 8-9 PSI near sea level (I'd have to go dig up the OGS thread on it to be sure though). However that is entirely based on a standard displacement 4.0 engine, not a stroker. Considering that the Sprintex compressor for the XJ application is borderline undersized for the 4.0, I suspect you would be unhappy with the boost levels on a stroker motor.

The M90 is an good match for a stroker 4.0. However mounting and routing are non-trivial challenges, especially when you try to size all of the systems properly. Do you like your hood intact or not? Let's just say I've been down that road.

Let see.. he has been through more company names than anyone can recall. He sells a few crappy kits, cheats people, destroys engines then shuts down. Then resurfaces several years later under a new name. He seems to operate on the basis that no one will remember his past or that there are plenty of newbies out there that don't know of him at all. He has very little knowledge of proper tuning and is still using the 7th injector BS. Its not the 80s anymore and there are much better solutions which he won't entertain. Even Sprintex got tired of his crap and kicked him to the curb. Same thing happened to OGS.

Here is some entertainment for you:

When you make accusations about people point out some facts to back it up. I have friends that have dealt with him no problem.
Its your money and your vehicle. Perhaps you need to do your own research.
