issues getting carrier pin out of 89 XJ

Having issues getting to carrier pin, as bolt locking carrier pin in is recessed in the differential. Not sure if this is stock.

Does anyone know what type of head I'd use on the recessed pin? Like I mentioned, the lock pin is recessed, so not sure if this is stock.

My front differential had a roll pin holding in the spider gear cross bar. Looked stock as could be. The appropriate sized punch knocked it out fairly easy.

Nice! Just wasn't certain if it was open like the carrier pin.

So, we can punch out while it's still intact? We're installing a powertrax locker, and looking to knock it out quickly.
