I am about to install Rustys 3.5"lift front springs and rear leaf springs, I have a lowering kit for the transfer case if needed. Do I need extended brake lines, or different lower control arms right now to do this?

Just remove the brake line mounting bolt, and straighten the line a bit...if needed.

Or just do a flex test when you are done with the install.

Don't put on the drop kit unless you are getting a driveline vibration.

Iirc ZJ front brake lines are a few inches longer. Wouldnt hurt to grab a set from the local pickapart

You do know I have to drive on the same streets this guy will, used junkyard brake lines? I know XJ owners are cheap, but really?

Techna-fit will build you custom length stainless steel (DOT Aproved) lines for cheap, I ordered their YJ with a 3" lift kit and I had brake line for days with my 6" lift and it was only $27 for all 3 lines. http://www.techna-fit.com/ :lecture:

late 90s chevy 1500 brake lines can be had at any parts store and are a few inches longer than stock, shouldn't be more that 13 bucks each or so. late 80s through 95 YJ rear line is a few inches longer than the xj stocker and is cheap too.

but yeah, technafit is the bomb diggity.

Bahaha! My junkyard brake lines have been going strong for at least 5 yrs... but for that cheap you might as well go for the techna-fits...

I will just buy new brake lines, not worried about cost, really don't have time with my commute and work schedule to search the junks yards to save a few bucks, would if i could because I am all about saving a few bucks.. so i do not need to worry about upper and lower control arms with a 3.5" lift is my main concern?

under 4" you should be ok but most kits come with lowers to fix the caster angle. be prepared for a harsh ride, the further from horizontal the control arms are at ride height the rougher the ride will be.
