hi im looking into buying the ruffstuf y link steering and just wanted to get your thoughts on it. also what would be a good trackbar to run with that setup and does that kit come with everything i need. i have a 97 3.5inch lift stock steering and track bar. thanks nate

The ruffstuff is a weld it yourself kit, so can be used UTK or OTK.
Since you are planning on going custom already, pick up their panhard (another term for trackbar) kit. Go OTK, while you are at it.

UTK and OTK steering is not identical. flipping UTK to OTK places the taper on the passenger side outer TRE for mounting the drag link on the opposite side. i would think that it could be problematic.

negative... to properly align the track bar with the drag link you need to weld in a relocation bracket on the axle and fabricate a custom track bar.

agreed. a welder and cut off wheel are the most extravagant tools you need.
