new shocks for 01 XJ?

I have Monroe Sensa Trac shocks on my 01 XJ.

Comparing against my 97 XJ which has a 2.5" OME lift, I like the way the 97 rides better.

I think the Sensa Tracs give a firm ride on the highway, too firm.

I'm looking to "soften" up the ride a bit.

Or would OME, Bilstein, Doetsch shocks work fine?

Or should I put a lift on it too? ;^)

I recently installed Bilstein shocks on the stock XJ and ride is great. I went from Monroe to Skyjacker hydro but with the Bilstein set the ride is the best.

Bilstein or OME. Last time I tried the Doetsch shocks 3 of them leaked in a year and teh ride was extremely soft.

For Bilsteins... at stock height 4600 series and for lifted 5100 series?

Not sure about lifted series.

4600 is correct for stock. I used 24-010450 front but this is only for the early XJ, yours uses a different part number and I think all XJ use the24-010467 in rear.
