Seems like from time to time I notice a slight leak from the rubber plug in the rear axle, nothing major. How do the rest of you deal with this? Do you just reseat the plug, replace the plug with the same style or id there a better solution?
Thanks,
Bill

Over time the rubber fill plug becomes less pliable, I think the best solution is to just swap out the fill plug with a new one. If I remember correctly from the dealer tgey are less than $20.

I would check the diff vent line.......it might be plugged. Could be why it is seeping. If the diff isnt getting vented. Easy to check and could save some seals from getting blown out.

Black silicone caulk. Bead around the lip of the plug, shove it in, done.
By the time I'm ready to change the gear oil again, I'll have a better cover on it.
