2wd to 4wd

My 94 XJ has had a good life and is an organ doner. My 87 MJ is in need of 4wd. Will the 94 parts switch over to the 87?

1994 XJ 4.0L 5 speed manual, NP231 with slip yoke eliminator, 8.25 rear with 4:56 gears and lockright.

1987 MJ 4.0L 5 speed manual, stock but in good condition. (123 K miles) I have owned it for 17 years and it runs great.

yup. you may have to do some research to find the right pilot bearing, but other than that it should be a strait forward swap. you'll need the trans mount from the 94, as the one on the 87 is different.

I just did this and the pilot bushing is a jeep CJ with the 304 v8 I think I told them it was a 76
