With the older Jeeps and vehicles it was easy to check for spark and fuel, but the new EFI and coil on plugs have this old man at a loss. Just how do test for spark with a coil on plug as in a 2000 4.0L engine? How about testing for fuel on this same engine. On the older Jeeps you could pull a plug to check for spark and look into the carburetor or throttle body injection system and see the press of fuel being delivered.
Thanks,
Bill

there are plug testers now that go between the wire and the plug, and allow you to see if there is spark (also keeps you from arcing on the block). For fuel, you can get an inline fuel pressure gauge (note that most are recommended ONLY for testing, and not for leaving installed when driving).
