Last year my muffler rotted out. Being broke I did it the cheap-o way:
1. Cut off the old exhaust pipe behind the catalytic
2. Bought a $20 2-1/2" inlet/outlet cherrybomb turbo-II muffler
3. Bought 2-1/4" elbow and straight pipe
4. Cut 1" off end of muffler and elbow
5. Mount muffler to back of catalytic
6. Insert elbow and point out under passenger rear door.
7. You may have to trim to get the right fit on the elbow
8. Use a cheap hanger and self tapping bolt to hole on frame rail
