Hello.
I have an 87 wagoneer XJ. Currently it runs perfect. Not even a high idle issue. It has 430k on the ticker. The reason for posting is because when I floor it (wot) the ecu dies and I have to replace it to get it to run again. The transmission doesn't even try to downshift when floored. It just dies. I've replaced the entire ignition system (ckp, dist, ICM, coil, ecu). The tps checked out good and in perfect adjustment. Now before someone says "problem symptoms" please read the whole post. There are absolutely no symptoms of a problem. Until I try wot. Then the problem is the ecu dies. I can fix that problem easy. I'm trying to figure out the underlying condition. Also the grounds are clean and the c101 has been bypassed. Any ideas/info will be greatly appreciated.
