I just recently put a 4.5'' rustys lift on the front of my jeep. however, it did not come with shocks... i really dont want to spend 150 bucks on aftermarket lift shocks.. anybody know if i could buy like f150 or old mid 80s chevy shocks to make it work? i think my stock shocks are 13" compressed and 21.125" extended..i just dont know any lengths of other trucks/jeeps that would fit to compensate for the extra 4.5"??? help please!!

Knowing your compressed and extended lengths is good enough. You can use that information to buy most any shock. Most major manufacturers list the shock dimensions on-line, and most any parts store will have that info as well...even for budget shocks.
