newer doors on older xj

I'm looking for doors from a 2 door X to put onto my 89.We all know how rare older Xjs are getting so I need to know what exactly has to be done to get newer doors to fit....wiring aside

I'vebeen told the main ddifference is the striker location...

striker and hinges are different... but your old style hinges will bolt to a new door.

Are your existing doors bad? There is a thread somewhere here about swapping the single window into older doors. And the mirror and handles are an easy swap.

Didn't know that about the hinges though, pretty cool

Yea my doors are shot....would like to find a pair that has manual windows.Ive grown to hate power accessories.
