Poor mans alarm system

Here is the wiring diagram i drew up in paint.



The reason terminals 87 and 85 of the alarm relay are connected is so that the alarm stays on even if the door is closed. until you ether push the trunk button on your remote starter or until you push the manual silence button. So what do you guys think? Good or bad idea?

For comparison here is how my alarm on my xj is currently wired.



This is much simpler to wire, but as soon as you shut the door the alarm shuts off. Possibly allowing a thief to break the window, pop the hood, and disconnect you battery (i had this happen once, the a** stole my $300 cb,sub n amp, and my gps)

My alarm stays on even if you close the door... just an aftermarket kit I had put on when I first got the jeep mainly for the keyless entry.
