93 to 87 Steering Column

So my Old man's 87 is in real need of a new Column because the turn signal switch and tilt are just shot. I have a 93 parts rig and Im wondering if we could swap it in? I know that in order to put a Non-Air bag Column in my 95 Id have to do some wiring just wondering if that hold the same for the 87.

Any Advise would much appreciated.

You can tighten the tilt mechanic up. Also the turn signal is a pretty common issue. Replacement is straight forward. You have to remove it to get to the bolts for the tilt anyway.
