Are the additional holes on either side of one of the torque converter mounting holes normal? Guess this is for balance? Just looks weird, though. Got one from NAPA and based on their web site it is a Pioneer Automotive Industries product (P/N FRA-333). Thanks - Andy
 
Got the new flexplate installed. Cannot believe the other one held up as long as it did. It was almost cracked the entire circumference around the crank bolts. Now I have another issue - when the starter is engaged, there is a high pitch "scraping" noise almost like the starter bendix is making contact with something once time for every engine rotation..any ideas????
