Hi all, new member here. Just pulled a 1494 code. Might this likely be a cracked hose, or gas cap issue? 1999 Cherokee Classic 4.0 and Auto, 248000 miles.

Just picked this vehicle up and will probably have many more questions.

Check you hoses I had same code it was a hose that had come off.

Your code is related to the leak detection pump. Check link above and start with inspecting all vacuum lines associated with that particular part as it is not uncommon for the vacuum lines/elbows, etc to be the root cause of problems such as this.

Thanks for the suggestions, I found the problem. It was a vacuum line elbow, located right at the intake manifold. It was all mushy and split. $2 worth of vac hose fixed it.
