Cruise control has never worked. recently the cable that goes from the cruise control to the throttle linkage started popping out randomly , and when it does pop, the jeep revs up of course, very high and stays high. Luckily its only happended twice, each time in the garage, not on the road driving.

Id love to rip out the cruise control, is it as simple as pulling of the cable and electrical connection?

I think they are already plugged. its not a stock cruise control. some weird aftermarket thing. cool. will do tonight then.

Pretty much. You can either disconnect the vacuum servo entirely (plug the lines,) or leave it in place, cut & remove the throttle cable, and let it act as a plug for the lines. Neither option will cause any harm.

man thats awesome. Especially since the cable is what is causing extremely unsafe throttle ramping when it randomly pops out.
