I received my rebuilt NOVAK NP231 today. a few thoughts.

I had a bent output shaft on the transfer case after having problems with it not taking 4lo. Removed the old unit today.

1. Thanks to the Haynes company for warning me that all of the trans fluid in my AX15 would come pouring out when the became seperated (Haynes manual says nothing about this- mess all over the place)

2. HOLY $H!T was my old t-case bad. After manipulating the old and new units shift lever its clear the old one is ****ED.

Haynes or Chilton--handy in the outhouse, not much else; the job isn't done until the paper work is completed.

www.autobooksbishko.com, legal reprints of factory service manuals and also available on CD.
