Hi-Lift... 60". Anyone else figured out a good place to mount one?

So I've been wheeling without a winch or Hi-Lift for a couple years now, and figured my luck would run out eventually... So I bought a 60" Hi-Lift Xtreme while 4WP had them on sale (came out to ~$104 + tax). I figured longer was better in case I ever needed to use it as a comealong winch.

Now my dilemma is mounting this freaking beast. It'll fit along the side of the roof rack I'm building, or down the center, but mounting it on my rear swing-out seems to be out of the question as the damn thing would stick up well over a foot past the roof line.

Anyone else make the mistake of buying one of the 60" models? If so, how do you mount it to your XJ?

It weighs in at right around 34 lbs.

I bought the 60. Mounted it on the side of my roof rack using the high lift 4x4 mounts.

Looks like it would fit quite comfortably in the bed...

(This is why I love wheeling an MJ)
