For the CRAWL next year? OK...I got the bug bad!
1) Get new front shackles for the MJ. (looking at ironman 4x4 adjustable for the fronts and rears)
2) maybe get slightly taller tires to help the 14B across the rocks
3) SHAVE the 14B...this is a definite.
4) get a topper on my dually's bed so my wife can lay down
5) maybe put new axles under my trailer
6) try to get my cummins in the dually to 100%...she did great up and back but a 5.5 cyl CTD isn't as good as a 6 cyl!
7) try to get a heavy duty diff cover for the front diff on the MJ
8) Maybe get a front locker...although I think the MJ did well without
9) winch on the MJ...I have one I just didn't have time or $$ to get a mount made
10) bring my own alcohol. I totally forgot you can't buy it there
11) maybe convert to full high steer on the MJ...only need 1 arm and hardware plus the tierod. That is IF I can get the old chebbie arm off the DS knuckle...it be stuck bad.
12) bring firewood and hope for a bit less rain so we can have more camp fires.
13) maybe make the MJ doors removeable
14) try like mad to get the rest of the cab and front clip caged. She came away without body damage but I think I just got lucky as it's the 1st crawl I've attended without any.
15) Win the lottery so I can buy a mountain near Harlan.
16) set up OBA on the MJ...it's sort of ready.
17) Bring the kids' 4 wheelers (and now my wife's new one) so my wife doesn't go buy yet another behind my back
18) Win the lottery so I can by a mountain near Harlan.
19) Bring a humane bear trap. I think my pitbull would have an awesome playmate with a small black bear
20) get front and rear spare driveshafts just in case
21) get spare front axles shafts/joints
22) Oh yeah...win the lottery so I can buy a mountain near Harlan
23) Buy a C5 galaxie so I can fly in instead of driving
24-100) Or invent teleportation. Of course then I could wheel in Harlan any time I wanted!
