Front Passanger Door lock and Window

Problem: Passenger Door doesn't lock. I push the lock button and I hear it try but it doesn't quite make it. If I hit the switch 5 to 20 times it will eventually work. Is this a door actuartor? I can't imagine it being the cable inside the door?

Part Two: Passanger window rolls down from drivers side but not from the actual door.

1998 XJ Limited

part one ... may be just a gummed up actuator, or the wire connection is corroded leading to low voltage. dig in an clean it and see if that fixes it.

part two - welcome to life with the 97+ XJ's master switch. have you checked the other doors? either bypass the lock out button or pull/repair the switch and circuit board. Common issue, plenty of write ups for this.
