So I blew a piston rod thru cylinder wall in my 2000. I'm going to be doing a junk yard engine swap. My question is. My 2000 has coils, obviously. And they also have the infamous 0331 head. So, can I put an older 4.0 (like 97+) that has distributor and just use all my same coils/electronics/etc. I'm not real familiar with changing engines. The block should still be the same, right? Any help would be awesome, thanks guys! Oh, also, will a 4.0 from wj/zj work? Still all the same block. Just use all my own accessories? Thanks again!!
