Quick update to my 88 Laredo. I put in new Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shocks front and rear, and I'm very pleased with the results. They're not the top of the line, but I'm doing a mild build that's mostly upgrading 25-year-old stock parts, and the price was right at Qtec.
The project was very straightforward, aside from moving the washer bottle out of the way for the driver's side top nut. Best of all, the top bolts on the rears were not rusted and came out easily. YAY!
Ride is much more responsive than original, and the Jeep feels more planted overall. Twisty pavement is fun, and 4H dirt roads are really fun!
Still ahead: used tires, brakes, rear leafs, front shims, new tires
