No juice?

Well...

I was attempting to start my buggy project and it was turning over... Then suddenly stopped, kinda sounded like the starter froze up.
It's an 88 4.0L.

Went to investigate the problem, and there suddenly was no power going to anywhere. With the key clicked forward, no juice. NO lights, nothing.

It's a freshly charged yellow top, terminals are spotless.

What could cause a sudden loss of power like this?

Possible a fusible link blew. Most all the power to the ignition switch goes through one fusible link. The power for the headlights goes through another fusible link. Unlikely two separate sub systems would blow two fusible links at the same time.

A single wire going to the large pole on the starter relay from the battery plus terminal, then through the fusible links to the sub systems.

Start with the battery.

Just because it will take a full charge it could have a bad plate(s) and faults under a load.

Attach a voltmeter between the battery terminals and read the static voltage, then turn on the key and read the voltage "Key On" and then read the volts in "START".
