BA 10/5 Headaches

So I know my best option is to upgrade to an ax15 but I would like to keep my BA10/5 going for now. But here is my problem... I have an 88 mj 4wd 4.0. My slave cylinder went out and I replaced it. During that process I managed to let a socket fall into the vent hole before I plugged it. SMH I know I know. Well I popped the back off and pulled it out. Figured problem stopped there but now I only have neutral and cannot get into gear. I don't know what could gave happened or what to try. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I got my pops out under the truck with me today. We pulled off the back portion of the transmission and found that the socket must have knocked something in the reverse gearing out of whack. Straightened it out put it back together and wam bam thank you mam all done!
