Rear Liftgate Pneumatic Air Springs

I just brought my 98 home from Colorado. Believe it or not, what worked just fine at 8,000 feet doesn't keep the liftgate up at sea level.

Anybody got a part number or better answer than just replacing them from the auto parts store. The ones from NAPA only seem to last about a year before they won't hold the door open any more.

Anybody replacing them with something better??

You might try OEM 5507 6208. They've lasted 15 years so far.

Got mine off Ebay over 3 years ago. I still have to check that no one is near the gate when I open it or it will take them out...
