Ujoint part number

I am looking for the correct part number for the front axle ujoints in my d30.
My jeep is a 98 cherokee upcountry.

I bought one at autozone which was the wrong part with too small of a cap. Now the one they replaced it with seems to be to wide front center to the cap.

Stop going to IdiotZone, or always know more about your Jeep than the parts monkey behind the counter.

Jeep front Dana 30
- 1989-95 with ABS have 5-297x u-joints.
- All 1995+ have 5-297x u-joints.
- All others have 5-260x u-joints

5-297x caps (ABS and 1995+) measure 1.186 or 1 - 3/16"

5-260x cap measure 1.063 or 1 - 1/16"

Measure your existing u-joints caps to confirm u-joint size.

I'd just go to the Autozone website and look it up yourself.

It's a wheel joint for ABS applications.
Somewhere along the line, and it's not necessarily the monkey's fault for not knowing this, but the part catalogs didn't seem to update past the point where ABS sized u-joints became standard.

Sorry about the typo, fixed the AZ PN in the abv quote.

IIRC, the part numbers 5-260, 5-297, 5-760 are Spicer numbers.
