Hey guys I bought a dana30 hp non vac 410 geared out of a 86 xj, I need to know if I can replace the cv shafts and outers with parts of a tj dana30 ? Thanks jeff

They're all the same. Knuckles, shafts, etc. all interchange.

To clarify my statement a little, you WILL need to swap knuckles, but the C's and ball joints and stuff are all the same.

I've sold a few of them 86 v6 4:10 front axles to TJ guys. They just swap there stuff right over no problem.

yep thats what i have, thats good news to me cause i just bought a parts tj30 off CL for 75 bucks. it had a ripped off lower mount.

Never occurred to me that the 2.8L V6 XJ's might also have 4:10 gears. Are they all geared 4:10 or just some? They seem to be slightly more common in the junkyards than the 4 cyl XJ's.

Also they are non vacuum disconnect full time axles like the newer style

be sure to double check by counting the number of teeth on the ring gear, and the pinion gear, and dividing them.

Auto/2.5, yes... but it's not an AW4. And I have only ever seen ONE of these.
Definitely the early ones had some weird combos... even more so if you start looking at S.American/Export stuff.
