What do you guys think. would you use a dana 50 front axle under your rig. I know that parts availablity isn't very good, and the locker selection is poor. but other than that is there any other reason you wouldn't want to use one. They do have D60 sized U-Joints, but 44 sized shafts. and the ring gear is .5" larger than a 44. Just wondering what you guys think.
TIA

A dana 50 is basically a 44/60 hybrid. You said yourself that it is hard to find parts for a 50. If a 44 isn't strong enough use a 60 which will be stronger than the odd-ball 50.

I thought the Dana 50 was a TTB center chunk? Maybe I'm wrong.
