I am having a problem with too much breaking on the rear wheels of my '88 comanche. I have been unable to adjust the lever to prevent the rear wheels locking up when hard breaking. I also have been unable to find a replacement valve at the Jeep dealers or auto parts. Anyone know of a source? A used part probably would be near the same condition as mine.

you won't find a new one.

the whole system is a PITA.

Tear it out and put in an XJ proportioning valve with one line to the rear brakes.

if you don't want to swap the prportining valve you can cap the emergency line to the rear.

but that's such a pain to do that you might as well just replace the valve.
