Reuse Ball Joints

Dumb question, or rather a dumb guy asking a question.


I just put new ball joints in my LP D30. I have a HP D30 I was going to sell. Now Ive decided to keep the HP and build it.

Quality ball joints are pricey. So can I pop out the new ball joints and reuse them when I build the new axle?? Or are they only good for one installation?

i have done that...no problem.. you can do it however an inspection of the upper and lower ball joints for excessive play or wear can lead you to your own obvious conclusion and as long as you dont destroy them during removal your good

As long as you don't damage them while removing them.

yea i was guessing they'd be cheap chinese knockoffs, but they were even drop shipped from dana spicer. i got the wj super balljoint set, which was 81 shipped. they work nicely so far.

I wish I had seen that before I bought the Moogs. But I came close.


If I can reuse what I got it's still $81 I don't have to spend though.


IF I ever get around to building that other front end.
